Re: Israel Rejects 20% Increase in Annual US Aid
if one can actually see the big picture , yes ,it sure seems to be pointless ... What happens when the Muslims stop fighting other Muslims ?? The Quran will still exist , the radical ideology will still exist .. They will join forces to destroy the infidelity,, period , end of story .. |

There may well be something that will work. But it sure won't be something that has already been proven to not work...over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. |

Re: Israel Rejects 20% Increase in Annual US Aid
It depends on who comes out on top. Most of the world's Muslims, and all the ones I know, have no qualms with non-Muslims as long as they aren't being attacked by them. They are the types of people who form human fences around churches when they are threatened by our common enemies. Something you may not know: The largest annual pilgrimage in the world is Arbaeen, held in Karbala, Iraq. Last year there were more than 20 million pilgrims. It's a Shia thing, but every year you will find Sunnis, Christians, Zoroastrians, Yazidis, Sabians, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews and others in attendance. Regardless of denomination, pilgrims are housed and fed free of charge... even getting their laundry done. The largest annual gathering in the world, yet it will likely never catch a single headline. Why do you think that is? |

Re: Israel Rejects 20% Increase in Annual US Aid
I'm going to give you the same answer as always- The rest of the world has to quit funding, arming, training, and indoctrinating jihadists in an effort to maintain hegemony. The west needs to come to grips with the idea that Saudi Arabia and Turkey don't have our bests interests at heart, and we should quit enabling them. As long as Muslims who want to fight against ISIS have to make the choice between joining a coalition that identifies ideologically with ISIS (mutual hatred of certain groups) or joining a group that actually kills ISIS yet is also bombarded by the previously mentioned coalition, don't expect any progress. Those are the most pressing issues for now. Also, the demonization isn't helping matters. You have young Muslims that become disenfranchised and disillusioned. They don't start out as jihadists, but when they see how the world looks at them because of the actions of people that have little to no connection with them it starts to look attractive. They are told they'll get money, cars, houses, and women. They are told they'll be defending against oppression. Take away the religious aspect, and it's a perfect recruiting tool for nearly any young man. Troops enlist in the US military every day with hopes of getting laid, getting paid, and blowing things up. Not that I expect the negativity to vanish, mind you. Like most Prophets, Muhammad and his followers were beaten, spat upon, tortured, killed, and cast out of their homes from the very beginning. That's just part of being religious. It comes with the territory. However, I can tell you that as interesting and thought-provoking as our conversations have been, demanding that Muslims who don't have anything to do with terrorism should be the ones to stop terrorism while at the same time preaching about how evil we are is about as productive as yelling at your mechanic when he's fixing your car. He knows you want results and you're in a hurry, and he's working on it... but maybe next time don't wait 15 years to get it serviced. And maybe quit calling him a dirt bag while he's fixing your ride. In short, Muslims have their work cut out for them. We are doing what we can, but if the world wants terrorism gone then it should quit supporting it. |

Re: Israel Rejects 20% Increase in Annual US Aid
Regarding homelands... there isn't one for everybody, and plenty of people that do have a homeland find it inaccessible. Yet another foreign/domestic policy nightmare. |
