Re: Arizona Toddler Picks Up Handgun, Pulls Trigger, Kills Baby Brother
Comrade, you are correct. Let the people ban the banning of things that is a wonderful idea. If we ban banning things then all things will be banned! Forward into the past! Ban the banning of all things...the workers are rejoicing!

Only a fucking, uneducated piece of shit would leave a loaded gun simply lying around. Any good gun owner keeps their weapons locked down, or have trigger locks on them. I hope they charge the owner of the gun with something. Unfortunately you can't charge them with being a fucking idiot. |

YOU FORGOT THAT ANY GOOD GUN OWNER SHOULD KEEP THE DAMN SMOKE WAGON (cowboy talk) HANGING FROM HIS/HER WAIST. That way they know where the thing is when they need it, not laying around. Geez.

Re: Arizona Toddler Picks Up Handgun, Pulls Trigger, Kills Baby Brother
I'm pretty sure she wasn't implying that. Seems like she just meant to keep them secured if you have children around, hell... unless i'm carrying or using any of mine they are stored in a locked cabinet. My parents did the same thing, I never had access to them till i demonstrated the maturity and ability to safely handle them. Poor old fuck probably lived alone for so long without any children that it never occurred to him, the 3yr old probably thought it was a toy and was just 'pretending' to shoot his brother with it. Sad. |

Re: Arizona Toddler Picks Up Handgun, Pulls Trigger, Kills Baby Brother
I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it. I've got the problem with the mommys of the world always whining that guns should be locked up, unloaded, and in a lock box, or safe. I get it, but since you can't change the world, how about changing the child. Teach the kid not to touch guns, no matter where they might find them. And if they do find one, to tell an adult. This kid was old enough. I did it with my daughters and I never had an issue. I also don't like leaving a gun lying around and believe that you should carry the handgun on your hip. You always know where it is if you wear it. If a gun is emptyand locked up it's worthless.
