Re: Young Man Dies While Testing Homemade Helicopter
That’s how I want to go when it’s my time… suddenly and doing what I enjoy. He didn’t have time to realize he was going to die.

Re: Young Man Dies While Testing Homemade Helicopter
No thats not how progress is made, this is opposite of progress, pioneers of aviation did all those dangerous experiments to collect crucial data required for aviation engineers. I have zero knowledge about how to make a helicopter so if i decide to make one i will find an engineering book so i can learn what kind of engine to use, what kind of materials to build blades, what kind of electronics required etc. Putting random shit together like an idiot to build something looking like a helicopter with blades that cant even handle gyroscopic force before take off, thats just plain simple stupidity. |

Here's some photos of the machine, before and after and a vid showing him testing the chopper with the main rotor removed but the tail rotor attached:

Re: Young Man Dies While Testing Homemade Helicopter
Two things that don’t go together: India and experimental aircraft. Hell, even if they had a well established national airline I wouldn’t go anywhere near it. |
