Good example of a very smart person, who did a very dumb thing. He didn't think of the force the components would be experiencing. And whether what he was using was more than adequate to take it. It's hard to tell exactly what broke. But the tail rotor blades came off, or the entire rotor. Did the metal just break or bolts or welds.  He probably should have figured out a way to test it from a safe distance. |
