For me, review of locale sometimes adds context and understanding to the original post. I indulge Google's street-level feature in furtherance of that review. Sometimes it takes time and effort to find the exact locale. In a fit of egomania, I thought the fruit of that effort might be of value to others.

What is it exactly that you expect that he should have done? The fuck was he gonna do about that nonsense? You won't be living a very long or happy life with the habit of regularly jumping into the middle of fights in the slums of New York that are none of your business. Not getting involved in that situation was the smartest thing he could have done short of getting the fuck out of there entirely. Ideally in that situation they would have just killed each other, but unfortunately that's not the way it ended. Hopefully they'll at least be going to jail now.
