Re: ~Whistling While He Works~

This is a traditional Tibetian Sky Burial...they slice up the bodies and then let the buzzards feed...its kinda fucked up if you ask me...especially because people gather around and watch that shit
Makes perfect sense in mountain regions, isn't Everest full of mummified climber corpses these days? Too dry and cold for the traditional carrion to reduce your carcass to bones so nature needs a little bit help with that.

Re: ~Whistling While He Works~

I'm fairly positive the style knives he's using would be considered for culinary purposes if purchased in the states so there would be no size regulation being a fixed blade and designated as a tool not a weapon.

That's how it is in CA. anyway.
I meant for knives in general, not his knives..
just buying knives that ppl usually carrying on themselves.
(and for many styles, in CA there is a 2” max blade length)

They believe in feeding birds with their deads helps their souls to get up there.

Whatever.
We believed Jesus walked on water.

It's a Buddhist contemplation of impermanence and the nature of life and death. Its also a reflection that the body is merely made up of many parts working together and not a solid entity.

Not quite.

For Tibetan Buddhists, sky burial and cremation are templates of instructional teaching on the impermanence of life. Jhator is considered an act of generosity on the part of the deceased, since the deceased and their surviving relatives are providing food to sustain living beings. Such generosity and compassion for all beings are important virtues in Buddhism.

Re: ~Whistling While He Works~

That's just weird as fuck I really want to know what is up with this. He's just throwing pieces everywhere
It's a Tibetan Buddhist sky burial. It's a kind of meditation on the impermanence of life and death. May seem morbid to westerners who dress up a dead body with make up at funeral but for them this is natural. It's also an act of generosity donations the body for the birds
