I think this is some kind of Tibetan thing (I could be wrong on the region). Pretty weird to us but the vultures love it. It's a culture thing. Using death to feed life.  |

It's a religious ceremony in certain communities... I think there's another similar video on DR elaborately describing this ritual. Still very gross

Looks like a sky burial. It’s a Buddhist thing I believe. Leaving your corpse to feed the birds as a final act of generosity. It’s a gnarly job though. I’d probably rather be the corpse in that situation.

Very interesting to say the least. Notice right off his dismemberment kit is right next to the body. Analyzing the scene further we see the buthchery job happens in a Mountainous area with snow seen on the hills in the background and a string of very small little banners waving way in the background in a light breeze. In the foreground scene from the beginning, we see she appears to have been potentially killed there at the location. Notice her hands are very dark up to the mid-arm with what could be a bandage near the wrist area. Maybe a suicide ?? what's more, interesting is the immediate foreground area is all black with small rubbish scattered about. Also what looks like a small tree trunk potentially used as a ?? not to mention the super clean shaggy white piece of carpet or rug she is laying on. Right near the woman's body. She could not have been dead too long as no rigor mortis seems visible on the corpse. Both the woman and man seem to be ethnic Mongols. This is a very odd display of bad butchery *Sloppy* to say the least and as of yet I fail to see the purpose or end game of the sloppy butchery job itself. Very strange indeed.  |
