Definitely a sky burial, Buddhist don't care for the "empty vessel" after death, they hold the body in a special room for final rites then transport to a special burial area and cut it up to dispose if it "in the most generous way" sharing the body with the animals. This is also a fast way to decompose a body in an area known for its rocky soil and without requiring firewood. |

It's called a "Sky Burial" ! It's performed in the Himalayan regions of the world & is a very common practice. (You can google "Sky Burial's" to see similar vids with the "Vultures" coming in to assist in the Burial part) The fella is usually paid in Whiskey for his services to do the butchering "Hence the whistling as he may be slightly charged up" as a coping mechanism. |
