Its just crazy how a little bit of luck (or no luck) can be the death of you. Just imagine if he didnt hit the beam and just slid down the track instead, he would have probably just got up and walked away with a few bruises. Sucks.

Bunch of sadists designed that luge track. But they should have placed the press box where those metal posts were. Then we could have seen Christiann Amanpour get a luger thru her neck, severing her tiny head / brain.
