AMBank Malaysia Bank Officer Shot Dead Near Cash Safebox A CCTV recording depicting the last moments of Ambank operations officer Norazita Abu Talib before she was shot by a bank security guard was uploaded to the internet. The 33-second video showed an office room and an open door where Norazita, in red was standing with a female colleague wearing white.  Both had their backs to the camera and were facing a safe. As Norazita turned at 0:03 seconds into the video, she suddenly collapsed and her colleague was seen covering her face and ears from the noise of the gunshot. It is estimated the Norazita was shot from a distance of about 5 metres away. he assailant then ran towards the safe from behind the camera and dragged Norazita’s frantic collegue out of the room.  He then walked over Norazita’s stationary body and proceeded to collect the money from the safe into a bag. The footage then blacked out for a few seconds and resumed with the video of the man picking up a bag of money and running out of the screen. From the video, the man was seen to be very focused on his heist and appeared completely unperturbed.  Bank officer Norazita Abu Talib, 37, was opening a safe with a colleague in the bank along Jalan USJ Sentral 2 at around 6.18pm yesterday. The suspect then shot the mother of two in the face using a pumpgun before forcing the terrified colleague to load a bag with cash from the safe. He finally made off on a motorcycle. Selangor deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Rahim Jaafar said there were only five staff members in the bank, including the suspect.  According to the security firm, he was meant to be a replacement guard for the bank and had worked in another bank next to the crime scene. However, he raised concern over facts of the suspect’s identity. Checks on his IC (Malaysian Identification Card) revealed that it was a fake. We are going to look into this more and find out how he was employed with a fake IC (Malaysian Identification Card), he said, adding that police were investigating the CCTV footage of the bank and nearby shops.  Mrs. Norazita was married with 2 children. |

Could be that the robber was a friend of the victim and knew her prior to the robbery..... Bank employee's will readily and casually tell people what time the safe is opened and all that need to know information. Probably befriended her prior. |
