Re: USA - Allen, Texas Active Shooter

Wow, reading through all 15 pages of comments and i can safely say that the United States as a functioning country is pretty much done for. There is no more reasonable middle ground, no more discussion or understanding of nuances. Everybody seems to be firmly in their red or blue corner and fight each other without any reason, against all reason.
The biggest and most likely enemy of USA comes from within. It's the conservative party that is going destroy the US one day and replace democracy with theocracy/autocracy.
It's sad that things have come to this.

Yeah...and that's the fucking problem of having a hundred million guns in your country. You don't get a gun that easily in Europe. Yes, it's possible to get one, but you have to work for it. You need to have connections. And whilst you search for a gun, you raise many red flags, which give plenty of opportunities to intercept a wannabe gunman before they do anything. Even better, the time it takes for you to find a gun is the time you have to cool down and think about what you are gona do. This avoids many suicides or murders.

When guns are not normalized, then seeing one will raise a red flag. I knew a few "wannabe gangsters" who got a gun from somewhere and were showing it off. Few days later...their guns were taken away and I don't know what happened to them next.

US has normalized guns to the point where anyone can walk around in public in full body armor, a bag full of magazines, and an AR ready to shoot....and no one can say or do anything until he actually opens fire....because its normal and allowed to walk around like this.

Even worse, are conservatives who rush to the defense of NRA by saying:
"hey, it's not guns that kill people, it's a mental illness that's at fault"
....and at the same time, wholeheartedly fight against bills that fund mental healthcare...or healthcare in general.

People who claim to be patriots and don't recognize the problems in their country are not patriots...they ARE the problem.

Soon, we will see conservatives proposing brilliant ideas like
1) Hey, let's dig trenches around all public places
2) Let's give all cashiers shotguns....cos...you know, more guns.
3) Let's make sure that most Americans carry at least 2-3 grenades with them at all times. This way, they can stay in cover during an active shooting, and still take out the gunman.
4) Let's extend the "right to stand your ground" into any public place. If you ever feel threatened or scared by someone, you can "defend" yourself and execute the person who seemed angry.
5) All weapons sold in the US must come with a stamp "Approved by Jesus". Lets bring god back into the murder business.
There are no more patriots. There are people who still believe the lies (republicans) and people who are trying to destroy the country and turn it into a gay furry safe space.

Also you CLEARLY didn’t read all pages as I AM middle ground. You’re extremist. They’re extremist.

I’ve seen this cycle a thousand times in history. Liberals push for change. The changes create a conservative group that pushes back. They label each other extremists and fight to the death.

The end result is you’re still a slave to a corporate machine, having solved nothing.

Also you use a hell of a lot of exaggeration. I’ve never once in my life ever seen someone open carrying a rifle. I’ve seen a couple dozen dudes with a holstered sidearm over the years but that’s it. You only think it’s normal because it’s all you fantasize about. You fantasize about a lot I bet.

Re: USA - Allen, Texas Active Shooter

America is a fucking shithole with shit people inside of it, idgaf who’s feelings that hurt, cope. It’s a third world country with lots of money, I live here and it doesn’t make it any less true. It’s embarrassing how this happens over and over and no one does a fucking thing.
No it's not a 3rd world country, and it's not a shithole as a whole, but I feel your pain man. What we have is an oligarchy disguised as a democracy, where the wealthy run this country through corporate lobbying and corruption, giving is the illusion of free choice and equal rights. We're nothing more than chattel for the top 1%. This is manifested on both sides of the aisle, with just one of those being the gun lobby. And I bring that up ONLY AS AN EXAMPLE, not a political stance. It's all just bs to manipulate control, and it's continuously growing and strengthening a sickness in this country.

Re: USA - Allen, Texas Active Shooter

Americans need to see the victims in all mass shootings. The blood the gore, the pointlessness of innocents dying.
Maybe then the people will institute change.
Can't do that...it might hurt the feelings of gun owners....or give 'em a hard on, which?

I saw them as clear as anyone else on here. I’m a gun owner. Didn’t hurt my feelings or give me a hard on.

Simply made me glad I carry a firearm when out in public and have a way of trying to defend myself against attacks on my life.

Your sarcasm fails as much as your hyperbole as you try to lump all gun owners in to a group of sadistic, foaming-at-the-mouth war mongers that relish in seeing people butchered. Also doesn’t described the thousands of people I’ve known or met over the years of shooting on a regular. No sane person, gun owner or not, is going to look at those pictures and enjoy them. Where do you get such ideas?

Re: USA - Allen, Texas Active Shooter

Wish that truck gunned it and took him down from behind. Looks like he took out a whole family right there at the entrance
Seriously! That truck could've easily sped up, rammed the hell out of him & pinned him in his car. Granted Idk what I'd do if it were me, but that's a big damn truck, & I'm sure insurance would be forgiving of the damages.
