I don't think the decision to have 4 handpicked NYPD officers standing directly behind him the entire time was a good look for the State. I'm sure it was done more to send a message than anything related to security. The courtroom would have been better secured if at least two of them were postedssomewhere else in the court room (like the fifth officer).

Also, the Mangione family should spring for a wardrobe consultant to ensure he's not dressed like his attorney. There's also a possibility they could help make a buck or two. Just like the backpack, that style of sweater sold out after the hearing.

Why are there 4 cops directly behind him, with one staring at him like he's about to break out of the cuffs like superman and fly out of there? Mass shooters don't even have this many police behind them. Usually police are in the room, but that close and that many?

This is what Trump wants, or wanted last term. He wanted heal insurance companies to be able to sell across state lines, which would create competition. Where I am, I think there is only one or maybe two carriers. It's basically a monopoly. But imagine if it was like car insurance, which was Trump's example. Everyone can sell everywhere. Competition is a great thing, and there is none.

This is a dumb idea that’s been floating around for a while. The insurance companies can offer insurance in any state they want — but what they don’t want to have to do is follow the laws each state imposes on what they need to cover. They’d rather incorporate someplace like Delaware that lets them provide minimum services to places like California that pass tougher laws.
