Re: UnitedHealthcare CEO Assassination

Awesome, need to kill all these CEO’s of medical insurance companies denying treatment. A well deserved killing.

Re: UnitedHealthcare CEO Assassination

Also interesting how much coverage a person of popularity gets.
If he was just the CEO of a large corporation, I think the media would have already moved on. Even though nobody knew his name before yesterday, he happened to be the CEO of the largest for profit health insurance provider in the country.

Because so many people have had such negative experiences with their insurance provider (particularly this one), they find themselves identifying with the shooter. Eventthough they know it's wrong, they're kind of rooting for him.

Right now, I'm watching some lawyer live streaming on YouTube. Nobody is entering any legal questions in the chat. Everyone is complaining about their insurance provider and/or their anxiety & fear about their health or finances.

All he could do was keep repeating that these problems could never justify killing someone.

Of course, everyone knew that. It's just such a personal issue for so many that they can't help it.

The suppressor does not have a booster or neilsen device causing it to repeatedly fail to cycle.

So well trained that he shoots him in the leg with first shot?
I thought he hit him in the spine, but it is hard to tell.

Re: UnitedHealthcare CEO Assassination

I believe the wife is behind it.
When you think about it, paying someone to knock off your estranged husband while he is out of town at his company's investor meeting would be the perfect way to deflect suspicion. She probably knew where he was staying and what his itinerary was. Also, how many grieving wives are willing to talk with the media (and float a possible motive) within hours of being notified?

I don't think that's the case, but it certainly could be possible.

I suspect the shooter will be in custody soon.

Re: UnitedHealthcare CEO Assassination

If you do some research on the controversial things that United healthcare has done while he was CEO you will definitely see why someone might have done this.

Re: UnitedHealthcare CEO Assassination

Does this mean that he had to manually chamber each round (as opposed to clearing a jam)?
Yes, which is clearly what he's doing in the video. I too wasn't sure if it was jamming, but it makes sense now that we know it was a bolt action pistol.

No the pistol uses a 9 round 1911 9mm magazine, it is not a semi-auto but has to be manually cycled between shots.

Re: UnitedHealthcare CEO Assassination

I think I misread your question (can't edit), yes he is manually chambering the rounds and not jam clearing.
