“I’m sorry God” sounds to me like one of two things:

Either he is crying out to God in a panic, saying he’s sorry for whatever he’s done in life to deserve this, begging for mercy and deliverance…

Or he’s completely aware that this is it, and he’s begging for forgiveness before he meets his maker, that he may be saved.

Not that I believe in this stuff; but a lot of people do. Honestly, we have no idea if the brain is even properly functioning there, so who knows? It’s definitely heartbreaking, to hear it.

Kind of like when people are dying and calling for their mom.

Goddamn. It doesn’t matter whether or not there are a lot of people surrounding you, at that point, it’s just you and the experience of death. Unique to you and isolated. We can only hope it won’t be overly painful or brutal. But some will inevitably be.
