In America, they have terrible rules and orders to shoot people until they will not be able to kill somebody near them (even if there's nobody near them). After that they policemen are happy and say 'all clear'. That country needs an improvement!

In Russia, police does not have right to shoot, only after several shouts 'stop, or I will fire' and several shoots in air. Even after that, they will have too much paperwork and they should put several witnesses, so they usually prefer to catch criminals with hands.

All these experts in here. I hope you get hit by a stray bullet from someone who, "aimed for a leg" and missed. If you watch the video, some of the rounds either missed or traveled through the old guy and skipped off the ground, and went right into the middle of those cars. Too bad it wasn't one of your family members hit. Then you would see how STUPID aiming at small targets to avoid, "killing" someone who put THEMSELVES into that situation!

People saying aim for the limbs do not know what they are talking about.

1. It is very hard to aim and hit a small, moving target from any distance.

2. Even a hit on a limb does not guarantee penetration. In REAL LIFE bullets that hit outside the center of mass have a tendency to spin a person rather than penetrate, disable, hurt, maim, or stop them in any way whatsoever. A hit to the center of mass has stopping power, just like a football player tacking a player dead on rather than grazing him.

3. A man with a knife can close that distance FAST. Much faster than one can react with a gun. Especially since guns in real life can jam. The innocent police officer deserves the opportunity to get the jump in a situation like this. NOT the perp...
