Re: Suicide by Cop | Police Kill Knife Wielding Man
Looks like a good shoot to me. Two tazer attempts, no dropping of knife after being clearly ordered to do so. He's advancing slowly, but even my old man can move fast when he wants to and he's 82. So, dumb old bastard did it to himself. Suicide by cop, and that's all she wrote.

Re: Suicide by Cop | Police Kill Knife Wielding Man
I just do not understand how these 'cops' think they are justified in murdering a man with a KNIFE, isn't this situation exactly the reason why they carry tasers, rather than just gunning suspects to death? This is ridiculous, it isn't the military and just gunning the public down surely is way beyond their remit and authority x

Re: Suicide by Cop | Police Kill Knife Wielding Man
You should have stopped there, but since I'm a nice guy, I will explain why your logic is flawed. Taser, they tried and they failed, as tasers often do (fail to take the suspect down) Taser is a non lethal weapon yes? A knife on the other hand is in fact a deadly weapon yes? The police are there to stop a threat to the public and will meet the threat with equal or greater force, as in this case they will meet a knife with their pistol(s) Why is it that people have zero issue with MMQB a deadly situation that LEO's make in a split second based on the situation at hand plus their training by becoming instant experts on human psyche and weapons training all in the comfort of their home behind a screen? And yes, I'm fully aware that there are bad shoots and all around bad decisions that are made by cops, but last I checked, humans have been known to fuck up from time to time. I challenge anyone to point out a perfect human being in any profession. |

Re: Suicide by Cop | Police Kill Knife Wielding Man
But not from mine. Would you prefer that they had instead waited until he turned around to go attack someone else, at which point shooting him possibly becomes a little less justifiable? He had a woman trapped and was threatening her with death or grievous bodily injury. These incidents are consistently and demonstrably more dangerous and fatal than "routine" incidents of violent assault because of the emotions involved. The police usually aren't dealing with a sane person at that point, so the only other option is to disable them. Tasers failed twice, and no one can reasonably be expected to go hands-on with someone who has a knife that size. |

Re: Suicide by Cop | Police Kill Knife Wielding Man
Nope. They were well within their authority as officers as well as within their rights as citizens. Believe it or not, ANY citizen who chose to intervene in that situation would have been justified in doing exactly what these officers did. Hell, after one of my neighbors got shot, I joked with one of the detectives that I would've loved to have shot the shooter in the back had I been unfortunate enough to have witnessed it directly, but then added, "But then y'all would probably be locking me up in the same cell with him." The detective then informed me that had I actually seen the shooting, it would have been totally legal for me to shoot the guy in the back to keep him from fleeing the scene, as long as I stopped once he was down. Of course, that's just in *my* state. Other states may have different laws. |

You come that close to me with a knife and see what happens. It will look very similar to this.

Re: Suicide by Cop | Police Kill Knife Wielding Man
I've yet to see a video on here where the .40 S&W doesn't drop someone in under a second. Yeah, this is nothing against any other caliber, it's only about the .40 S&W. I'm a proud carrier lol. I don't know the exact caliber, but judging by other police departments in Colorado, and the most popular caliber of all police in the US, I'm betting that's a Glock 22. I'm not saying I enjoy seeing it, but I like finding out just how effective the .40 S&W is. This website has shown me the police in Mexico and our Border Patrol not only dropping people instantly, but also killing, every single person I've seen hit by the .40 S&W. It's a good chance they are using Speer Gold Dot, but 155g/165g/180g is anyone's guess. https://sites.google.com/site/worldi...ry/pw_colorado |

I heard from other peop.email that know cops that they would rather kill someone cause it's less paperwork. Seriously. They purposely stayed far enough so the takers would not be effective.

Re: Suicide by Cop | Police Kill Knife Wielding Man
Sorry about the typos previous post. This is why I respect cops no matter what. Even if they are wrong. because they have a license to kill. And alot of them like to. Just give them a reason.. it's not worth dying at a traffic stop..
