Rich people like this are under the assumption that they are in command of their lives, when in fact they are taken care of by others in almost every aspect. Feed yourself? why no, you have a cook for that. Clean yourself? why no, you have a maid for that. Look after your own business interests? If you want to see a perfect endorsement for the absolute NEED for personal carry of firearms, you need look no further than the horrific increase in gang rape in Norway, Denmark and Sweden, usually native born women as the victim, and 1st generation islamic immigrants as the perpetrators. Because, as I understand it, it isn't rape to a muslim if it is a non-muslim you just brutalized, as long as you throw money on her after you are done. In the last ten-fifteen years this has become a huge problem in those countries. Leaving aside the muslim/non-muslim paradigm, one woman, smaller and weaker than even one man, versus several men, all with pussy on the brain, and NO regard for the words "no", "stop", or "help". I can think of no more appropriate place for a Glock 19 with a 17 round magazine full of hollowpoints. Since this has devolved into a global gun rights debate I would provide an instance in which firearms would be absolutely necessary. Every person in the world has the ABSOLUTE DIVINE RIGHT to defend their life and their family's life. Even in Iraq, the male of each household is allowed one ak-47, (that's a full-auto, true assault rifle) for defense of the household. When we did house to house in Iraq, we returned the arms to the owners if the person we were looking for wasn't there or we had the wrong house. NO ONE has the right to take away another man's ability to defend what is his. Mathematically, you will always have asshats like this fool in the video, because that is the nature of man. A few criminals, A overwhelming, disporportionate number of people whom never fire a shot except at targets or in training. The gun genie is out of the bottle, and can never be put back in. trying to say"take them all away!" is stupid and will do nothing except get people attempting said actions killed. History is rife with examples of what happens to populations when the ruling body decides to confiscate the means of resistance. People know this and I would like to think are waking up to the fact that if you do not study history, you WILL repeat it. Not just America, but every citizen of the world has the right, given to them by their Creator(whomever you believe that to be) to protect themselves. As the level of force they would be likely to protect themselves from goes up, so to must the level of force that they MUST posses to assure their freedom. Just the nature of technological advancement. A bolt action hunting rifle is no match to a m249 SAW and a lever action winchester is no match to an M-4. I love my winchester BUT, I ain't Chuck Conners. Ask any Cubans that lived through Castro's rise to power, or any Jews that lived through the Holocaust. How about Mexicans denied the possesion of ANY arms while the Govt and the Cartels run rampant? Any one of them would LOVE to have an "assault rifle". Forcibly Disarmed people are ALWAYS either slaves, victimized, or dead. Just the facts. |
