Re: Robbers V Gun Owners.

Rather than having to kill someone maybe it would be better to tackle the problem of why people are robbing and stealing...just a thought. We're all victims of our environment.

Keep the poor fighting each other. Has worked great so far.

That's not to say I'm anti gun or anything. I keep a gun at the end of my bed with some flash bangs in the wardrobe, but I also advocate getting to the root cause of the behaviour because any life lost is life wasted, and who wants that?

Do you wanna stop the guy when he has a gun to your head, or do you wanna stop him before he even gets the gun?
Couldn't agree with you more dude. BUT that argument won't work with this crowd.

Re: Robbers V Gun Owners.

Wow. One of the only intelligent people I've seen post for this one. You see it the way I do. Fortunately I live in a town where it's more likely that I'll win the lottery than it is that someone would even break in to my house let alone should me. Most people are blinded by their own emotions and egos to act in a way that will actually solve the problem before it becomes one. This is why so many are in favour of arming teachers in schools, rather than learning to prevent school shootings.
Please show some evidence of your assertion that millennia of human violence driven by greed would suddenly come to an end if only we redistributed wealth.

EVIDENCE.

Because the evidence that that violence can be stopped and innocent people protected by good people willing to meet force with force is on full display in the video.

Violence isn't driven by greed. It's driven by perceived scarcity in the environment and environmental conditioning.

Change the environment, change the behaviour.

3:49 - The windshield shots came from inside the car, not the house.

Re: Robbers V Gun Owners.

I don't understand why gun advocates in the US don't get that we have the most lax gun laws and the highest rate of gun crimes in the first world. Sure some cities and states have huge restrictions on weapons that appear ineffective, however those restrictions are null and void when you can go one state over and buy a gun at a gun show or steal one from a legitimate gun owner........
Although I understand where you are coming from, I just don't want the government to dictate how I must protect myself if the situation arises.

Re: Robbers V Gun Owners.

long time ago 6 of us molested a burgler and we did not call the police because they prosecute us instead of the burgler. we loaded him into a van and dropped him in the woods. in this country they protect the criminals and thats why we did that

So which type of scarcity is the root cause of, say, a gang of "youths" burning homeless people to death?

That depends on the influences coming from their environmental conditioning.
