Further under the dump truck? There are bikes and bikers all around. Guess we're assuming he was one of them. Of course that makes it worse if they're his "friends" and they're just gawking and filming it. Guess they wanted to show his family later, so they'd have closure. |

Help him to keep calm and relax. Offer a cigarette and your phone to say his goodbyes. In a crowd like that, most people don't feel like they have to take any action as they're absolved of any responsibility by just gawking like everyone else. The onlookers may be shocked, but it's the inaction of everyone around them that keeps them comfortable doing nothing. It only takes one person to actually do something for the others to feel guilty for standing there, staring and offering no assistance. I agree. I think it's because it disassociates the person from what they're actually experiencing in a weird sort of way. |
