Re: Philly Police Shoot and Kill Knife Wielding Man
You're such a tool. Only around 1,500 people where killed by a knife last year. And the way you look at things is so disconnected from reality. I suppose if you had a gun, and someone came at you, threatening you with a blade. You would, well, according to your post, you'd probably just get stabbed. But you look at it as if the cop had a time out button to go over options and have those options in his hand immediately. Which is beyond stupid. Why not look at the idiot with a knife? Has cops surrounding him, pleading with him to drop the knife. Telling him, showing him, he's going to get shot, put down the knife. Or at the very least, stop moving towards the officers. But he refused Knowing he is going to be shot for his actions, he continued. The Police aren't going to continue to retreat, they already gave this guy plenty of opportunity to take stock of the situation. They could have shot him immediately. Any normal responsible person would have shot this guy. He had a knife, he was advancing in a threatening manner, police do not have a duty to retreat. They have a duty to put threats down. |

Re: Philly Police Shoot and Kill Knife Wielding Man
Unfortunately that's not the way it works. I agree it would be ideal, and a kind thing to do, just shoot to wound. But in those situations, you're pretty amped up, tension is really high. And when a cop is put in a position to use deadly force, they are trained to put the threat down. Just to end the threat as quickly as possible. I think a person can close a gap of 20 feet in a second and a half. And most of the time a determined attacker can stab a gunman if he's within that 20 feet. If the gun is holstered. Obviously these cops weren't holstered, but they still were in a position where the attacker could have blitzed and possibly been able to stab with that 1.5 seconds. Cops are trained on this 21 feet is the danger zone. And they are to end the threat immediately if a threat is within that range with a knife or club. |

Re: Philly Police Shoot and Kill Knife Wielding Man
These forums are littered with pictures and videos of people who died from getting stabbed. If after hanging out here, you still think knives are boo-hoo, you have a hole in your fucking head. Besides, all you libtard, fuck-the-police Karens are all the same; it's all cool until it happens to you or one you love. Then you call the cops to deal with the situation and expect everyone to share on your tragedy. |

If anyone comes at me, with a knife or an ejaculating penis, I would be forced to shoot (with my gun, not my ejaculating penis).
