Re: Man Crushed by Elevator in NY
Are you talking about The Lift (at least that's the title I know it by)? German film, I believe. Its elevator decapitation scene is legitimately disturbing, and I'm a seasoned horror fan. I own it on VHS.

Re: Man Crushed by Elevator in NY
*If this is against rules I understand if it is deleted. I know this is an old thread, but occasionally something fascinates me and I look into it more, I looked up his facebook page (because, well, I was curious about the possible injuries) but the guy came out of it really well, is still flying, looks physically normal - nothing, basically not a scratch on his face. Still flying and out and about, so clearly eyesight is fine. Fb photos from a year ago show he is normal, intact, and photoed with family and also in planes, and his wife wrote this on May 2, 2017: "May 2, 2017 · I just wanna share this with you all, and hope it encourages someone out there. Three years ago was a memorable moment for my whole family. My husband plane crash accident on May 1st 2014; and at the same timeframe he was in the middle of building a log ride project, we also sold our waterfront home in Prince George BC, and bought another lakefront home in Vancouver island BC -in the middle of moving process, and homeschooling our four kids. Between three-four weeks after the accident, my hubby was discharge from the hospital earlier than expected (God is awesome- miracle unfolding). He went flying again with his other airplane, completed the big contract project (the Timber Falls Log Ride project) at Calaway park in Calgary Alberta in that same year, and within budget considering his condition with a neck brace on and a cast on his leg. Two months later the cast and the neck brace were removed as he gradually heals. He went thru multiple surgeries in the first week being in the hospital. More than 35 broken bones mainly in his face (broken jaws) than his right foot and neck or ribs. The top notch doctors said that he should have been dead. Every single day I am humbled and thankful to God for an everyday miracle! My four children were witnessing all this as they see their dad heals from his wound. "All the king's horses and men, put humpty dumpty together again" ;-). Miracle happens everyday. Your Life is a miracle." |

Re: Man Crushed by Elevator in NY
Horrible way to die... abject, needless, pointless hideousness... "but he's with the Lord now..." That preternatural, Cosmic motherfucker sure works in mysterious ways, no? I bet you the first guy goes either "Holy shit, I'm lucky!", or thinks it's a miracle, thanking "God"... according to his religious views, or lack thereof, respectively. |
