Re: Karl Wallenda Falls to his Death

That was pretty funny. It's ironic that he's a balancing expert, yet he isn't capable of balancing on it when seated. Most younger people would have been able to 'lay' on the wire if they lost their balance. You simply let one leg hang, and keep the other ankle gripping the wire, let the opposing arm hang, and grip the wire with your other hand. He was too old to do that shit.

Re: Karl Wallenda Falls to his Death

If You think, that was insane, have a look at this video. It happened on August 7, 1974 and the artist was (and still is) a French high-wire artist named Philippe Petit.

Re: Karl Wallenda Falls to his Death

It happen in Puerto Rico in 1978 when he was 73, tried to cross the two towers of ten stories of the Condado Plaza Hotel in San Juan (Puerto Rico). Strong winds of about 48 km. per hour led to the fatal outcome, death was instantaneous.

Re: Karl Wallenda Falls to his Death

video fixed...

also, here's a clip showing the wallendas practicing the 7 man pyramid to perform it once more after the initial tragedy when several members of the family lost their life performing this stunt

Look what happened to the guy on the very right... ouch!
