I don't understand why people paint him as the bad guy when he seems to be making it clear he wants peace? Unfortunately to get that, he has to constantly fight off all of these idiots who want to destroy him and his country. Who gives a fuck what happened all of those years ago? Is that really worth both sides constantly losing so many innocent lives?

Exactly - EUROPE! Creating a country "out of thin air" conveniently misses the main point of this current conflict. Isreal was not created in some type of magic show. Let's not forget that this "thin air" was called Palestine, which was already inhabited by Palestinians. Palestinians refer to themselves (as does the Arabic language) as Philistines. Philistines were the original inhabitants of this 'holy land' before the Israelites were allegedly ordered by God on a 'jihad' to take it for themselves (See the Bible for further details). This sort of trumps your so-called 're-patriation' argument.

Another example of total whitewash of the facts, totally laughable if it was not so tragic.

Very few Palestinians left on the instruction of their leaders. Most fled or were expelled by Israeli forces (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palesti...stine_refugees).

You're missing the part of my post where I said most of their neighbors are unwilling to recognize Israel, and are perpetually convinced of the need for its destruction.

Saying "hey, why don't you just leave us alone" doesn't mean anything when the people you're telling it to are convinced that you're an illegal country and shouldn't exist in the first place.

So yeah, the answer is either A) Israel goes away, or B) Everyone recognizes Israel and gets over the stated goal of wanting Israel to go away.

Of course, both sides kind of "have a point" to their arguments, so anyone who wants to decide which side is "right" is easily able to pick one, harp on and on about their narrative, and ignore reality.

Just look at the responses to my post. I post straight up that Israel was a bullshit country created out of thin air at the behest of the people who lived there, and yet multiple people replied to me yelling at me for being "Pro-Israel", just because reality happens to be just as critical of the "Palestinians".

People's desire to see one side as "right" and the other side as "wrong" has clouded their ability to grasp reality properly because they can't read something without trying to decide which side you're on and then respond accordingly.

Oh, and with respect to your broader question of why "they" don't just let Israel be, you're missing the fact that massively corrupt governments in the Muslim world have consistently been using the "Israel is the devil" propaganda to maintain support.

Finding an enemy outside of your borders to blame all of your troubles on has always been an effective tool for corrupt and failing governments to deflect blame from themselves and rally patriotic support.

Unfortunately for Israel, they're in a part of the world that has been declining for centuries, and since 1948 have been the perfect Villain. So even as much as you'd expect people to have started to "get over" something that's 60+ years old, the sad fact is that multiple generations have been continually inundated with political propaganda for mostly dishonest and corrupt purposes.

That's why the ultimate "solution" depends on the modernization and development of Muslim nations in the reason, to the point where they no longer have to use that propaganda angle, and then maybe, just MAYBE, in another generation or two, things could settle down. There's signs of that, but don't hold your breath.

So in conclusion, someday im sure in 10-20 years, our childs will ask us where we were when all this massacres happened against a innocent, inprisoned population, whom only wrong is that they are muslims. And we will answer in the same way like after the 2nd world war ?
