Very unfortunate situation, but some dads go crazy when girls are going through that mental stage from maybe 15-18 (sometimes older as in this case). Not sure it’s the girls’ fault, but as they try to find themselves, there can be a lot of rebellion. Dad should have gotten some therapy if he knew his temper was that bad.

Not every child (and yes, they were children) has it in them to be heroes. They're children, they shouldn't have to be. And the chances of their piece of shit father killing one of them if they got in the way seemed pretty damn high considering how he was going at their sister.
