It depends largely on the location of entry/exit and the person. Our pain receptors are highly varied in density, sensitivity and distribution in our own bodies, much less person to person.

Think about testicles and clitorus, versus forearms or back (tattoo location contributes immensely to pain felt). Retinas don't even have pain receptors at all. Stub your toe or bang your elbow. Sometimes you feel the needle sometimes you don't feel anything (had lots of blood tests recently, not all phlebotomist are the same lol).

I got shot in my ass by this pussy ass dude that my brother ended saving my life probably. I was standing towards the back of my car and the bullet hit my driver window and ricocheted into my ass. Just scratched the glass a little. I knew I was hit immediately because it felt like I was punched hard as he'll in my ass, then I couldn't feel anything but tingling for a few seconds, then it felt like my ass was on fire. Then when it stopped bleeding it felt like I was sitting on ice, it felt so cold. I seriously was wondering what life was going to be like without a butt cheek. But my cheek survived. What sucked almost as much was in court during the shooters friend trial, who drove him there to confront me. He was charged with his friends death with the someone dieing during the commission of a felony law. The prosecutor showed like 3 or 4 pictures of my ass the police took in the hospital. Motherfuckers.
