She must be in shock really bad! To touch her face and not freak out? 2 holes where her eyes used to be? But she seems to be able to see? Damn, that would have given me a enormous anxiety attack!

Her face isn't missing, it's all ground up. It looks like she impacted on the bridge of her nose and scrushed/snapped the face off her skull. Her face is basically a sack of bones. With some skilled surgeons and assuming her optics are intact under there she could live a relatively normal life albeit disfigured.

Being lucid for that is a hell I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
It wouldn't matter if her optical nerves were working perfectly. She has no eyes. The impact to her face and skull would severely damage the brain also. No hope for this girl they don't have medicare in third world countries. Excellent first post mate. Lots of close up gore. Thanks for posting.
