Re: Gimmie the Bat, Man.
full support for our officers -- they're out there, day in day out putting their lives on the line to protect the citizenry. Overuse of force, in these unpredictable times, has become the accepted norm, it's unfortunate but you just don't know what's in front of you these days. Textbook stuff here. Sorry the dude lost his life but sounds like he didn't put much value on his own life anyway.

Re: Gimmie the Bat, Man.
Why don't you become a cop and see the decision you make when someone with a bat (a weapon that can constitute lethal force) can swing it at you, disarm you of your firearm, and quickly end your life with your own service weapon. IMO, it is better to take down bat guy, who was given several verbal commands to drop the bat, than have those on the side of justice taking chances. If he complied, he would also not have been tased.

Re: Gimmie the Bat, Man.
The dude had a bat and some mental health problems. I hope my mental health never gives out on me. You can't trust that the police will do the right thing. This death was unnecessary.
