Don't generalize from your experience. There are many parts of the world where the majority of people never learn how to swim. Even in the Philippines this is the case, and that is an island nation.

Something is pulling him down, probably something related to that weird obelisk he's trying to climb on. Dude is 27 and that's a tiny little pond. Duh - swim toward the edge of the pond instead. Better yet read the sign. Could have swam anywhere else but that place made sense to him i guess. Hahah his family member is recording it and yelling at him.

He was clearly flailing and going under for about 25 seconds and everyone just stood and yelled to him so sad. Only reason I can think of is no one on the shore could swim either
