Swimming in waters where there are crocs or gators is NOT a wise thing to do.

Probably killed himself after losing all that hair. I can’t blame him. RIP my shiny forehead, friend.

I’m impressed he still had his sunglasses on.
I didn't notice the crock wearing any.

Going anywhere near the bodies of water inhabited by crocs is a bad idea. I grew up in Florida and at least with gators they aren't known for attacking from the water but crocs purposely hunt from the shallow water near shoreline.

Re: Crocodile Clutching Dead Swimmer’s Body in Its Jaws Near the Shore

Like polar bears and tigers, salties are one of the few animals that will actively hunt humans.

It’s just so funny to me that in civilized cultures you’ll have people that people won’t swim in the ocean over the low chance of being attacked by a shark.

Meanwhile people in Indonesia will get in a lake while being actively hunted by a prehistoric predator.

I’m starting to believe that ‘precaution’ is one of those words that doesn’t have a direct translation to these countries.

In the picture he looks 60. The face in the canoe or whatever looked a lot younger. The secret to eternal youth: death.

Re: Crocodile Clutching Dead Swimmer’s Body in Its Jaws Near the Shore

If I'm killed by a croc (or any carnivore), I'm OK with letting them finish their snack. I'll be dead so I won't be needing the meatbag anymore & it'll save on the costs of disposing of my body.
I respect that. But your family probably wouldn’t allow that. We bury our loved ones for closure and to be with them one last time.

Re: Crocodile Clutching Dead Swimmer’s Body in Its Jaws Near the Shore

The victim was 51-year-old S, who was mauled by the beast near Talise Beach in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, on Thursday when he was swimming.

Locals reported seeing the silhouette of the huge reptile rising through the sea towards him and said they cried out in warning but the victim couldn't hear the calls, and the croc struck out suddenly, snatching him.

The local rescue team said they were alerted to a fatal attack at 7:15 am.

They launched a thermal drone at around 8 am to track the body. It was this aerial drone that captured the unsettling footage.

According to eyewitness statements, the victim was swimming too close to the crocodile that was already visible around the location.

One of the members of the Central Sulawesi Police Mobile Brigade Corps was even forced to shoot the crocodile to make it release the victim.

Indonesia's waters teem with 14 different types of crocodile.
like it or not.. the video of the croc swimming is indeed beautiful. i love those creatures. Sad the guy had to go that way. hopefully no hard was done to the croc.
