He's probably going to bleed out, but looks like he is alive still as the gunmen drove away as you can hear him plee. If I we're a judge I'd rule homicide, he shot in defense but continued and chased as perpetrator was no longer a threat. Not to mentioned fled the scene.

I never thought of that. Do you get brownie / legal points for staying around and administering aid? Cops seem to jump right on CPR when they blow a perp away with cameras present, and they know a bit about the law...
