The victim, identified only by the nickname 'Bear,' 18 years old, was fleeing from several armed men when he was caught in the square, alongside several other people who were chatting on a motorcycle in front of a pizzeria.

After falling, the man was hit by multiple shots fired by two men. Another person who was also being pursued managed to escape from the scene.

A couple receiving a pizza on the street stayed beside the shootout and crouched down next to the victim. According to the Public Security Secretariat, an unidentified woman was hit and injured; despite being wounded, she stood up and was taken to a hospital.
