You can use deadly force if an escaping felon is attempting to cause harm to you while in the process of escaping. You cannot just kill a escaping felon for doing nothing more than escaping.

He got bail, he put 10% and they put up 90% of the money, he jumps bail they lose all the money. It's their livelihood vs his life. He didn't care about their money or his contract, why do they have to care about his life? |

DA went for first degree murder, and they couldn't prove to the jury that she intended to end his life, so she gets off. Insane. Why they didn't or couldn't after the fact change the charge to manslaughter or negligent homicide is fucking beyond me   |

It's a common tactic to charge an unreasonable burden of proof, knowing it's unreachable. This then gives them double jeopardy protection.
