Notorious Australian Gangland Figure Shot Dead at Cafe
CCTV has captured the moment two gunmen shot and killed a notorious underworld figure and injured the son of a late crime boss during a brazen daylight crime in Melbourne. G.P., and A.M., the son of late crime boss N.M., were sitting at a cafe in Keilor Village having breakfast when two men dressed in black fired multiple shots at the pair about 10.20am on Saturday. P. died at the scene, while M. suffered serious injuries, having been hit in the stomach. Police are hunting for two men dressed in black who were seen driving a black Audi SUV after the incident. P.'s reputation for violence was well-known. He was jailed for shooting two drug dealers and killing one. P. also survived a stabbing in prison. He was released in April this year. |

I mean, he did end up getting shot as well, but part of me thinks that son that was having coffee with him was in on it too. It almost looks like his head was turned at just the right time to see the guy was running up to the table. Or maybe I just watch too many gangster movies.

The old Melbourne gang land wars have been simmering since the 1970s. Really kicked off in 1988 when two coppers were ambushed and shot dead in Prahan. Been down hill ever since.

Dad was riveted to his cell phone and was fatally shot before he realized they were under attack. Son had no cell and good situational awareness. Son had stood and turned tail to sprint before the gunman fired the first shot. First shot appeared to be at the son, then the gunman redirected to Dad. |
