Why don't you put on a badge and uniform and spend a month as a US police officer on the streets then come back and tell us how cops are cowards?  Or is it more comfy for you to sit in your comfy armchair and project on shit you couldn't possibly know about? Some of them are some of the biggest pieces of shit on the planet. But many of them are amazing people. Just as with any human being you give a little power too... some use it nefariously, some do not. I prefer not putting them all in the same box because they are not all the same. In this case, the suspect went for his gun after the officer specifically gave him instructions not to. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time... or have your face blasted off. Follow instructions of a authority figure with a gun pointing at you. Easy.
