Yes. It’s police policy to put ANYONE, responsive or not, in cuffs. Regardless of how injured, or potentially dead, they are. You never know when someone is playing possum. With certain drugs in your system, some people have taken several gunshots to the chest and vital organs and still charged. I’ve seen suspects fall and seem down for good, or dead, then roll over with a gun and keep shooting. I don’t blame them, cops should never take a chance. But yeah, again, it’s police policy to cuff a suspect no matter how injured or dead they may be. It’s safety for the cops.   |
