To me it looks like something very hot was spilled (or thrown) in her lap. She looks badly burned. Maybe no one would take her for medical care or she lived out too far to get there soon enough. She looks like one of those who live on the Steppes or Mongolia  She's got to be in excruciating pain, poor thing  |

I'd give anything to know the backstory here. The maggots are actually devouring diseased and necrotic tissue and are doing a good job . But this woman is so overwhelmingly compromised that she is going to die without some expert first world care. Her baby may already be dead. Her whole torso from below the breasts is literally rotten. It's an awful situation. This case is going to haunt me. I just have to know what happened here and if she and the baby lived!
