Re: My Mom's Aneurysm

My mama has passed away.
Oh that's so sad, I'm so sorry for your loss. Take solace that she isn't suffering any more.

Thank you. She was very tired and got to make the choice to pass. It was a blessing. I miss her endlessly.

Oh I bet you do, it's going to be a hard road ahead for you but you will get through it + you have the knowledge that your mother chose to end her suffering.

My condolences, take care of yourself + remember there's no shame in reaching out for help if you need it. Bottling up your feelings will have a detrimental effect on you, I hope you have family/friends there for you.

RIP to your mother.

Re: My Mom's Aneurysm

To update this thread since another member was an absolute doll for locating it for me.

To anyone who had asked about her pneumonia and lung issues.....a month before she passed I finally convinced her husband to have her transferred to Loma Linda hospital. One of the best hospitals in our area. Our local hospital just kept sending her home to die and I was tired of it.

I had put in hours of research and inquired endlessly with specialist in her insurance network to figure out what was wrong. I had come to the conclusion she had become infected with a specific bacteria due to her job. Before I could speak to her new doctor in the ICU of the new hospital he had already studied her file and rushed in to discuss the same exact thing I thought. Unfortunately it went undiagnosed too long and her other longstanding health issues made it worse. They tested for it anyways, but we didn't get the results until after she had made the choice to die on her terms. It was a wild ride.

I'm sorry to hear your mother died. Loss and the grieving process sucks.

Loma Linda is indeed an incredible hospital; I believe that's where Baby Paul (from my hometown, Vancouver BC) had his own hypoplastic heart replaced with that of an anacephalic newborn's.

Paul is still alive over thirty years later.

Thank you, genuinely. It's been a tough few years. I never imagined I'd still be grieving like it happened yesterday. I think I'm more pissed that it could have been cured by antibiotics ya know. Now that we look back we know covid would have taken her ass out without a doubt. So we were blessed with her choosing to pass and got to be with her.

I haven't heard about him. I'll look into that story for sure. They saved my brother's life when he was born prematurely.

You're welcome, thank you.

How many weeks early was your bro? I myself was born 100 days too soon. Mom's cervix pulled a Jimmy Hoffa.

I think my brother was right about the same if I remember correctly. So many complications coming that early!

I dodged a lot of long term complications. Had a brain bleed at 2 days old which almost killed me. It made me invisibly "differently abled" shall we say but whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

Went home on my due date breathing room air (probably unlike) your brother. Boys always have more problems.
