Re: My Mom's Aneurysm

The pneumonia...not so much. Nobody can figure out what's going on there. She's home from the hospital now. Still on oxygen and still struggling. I feel so bad for her.
Have the doctors checked for blood clots in her lungs?

Re: My Mom's Aneurysm

Omg and she is SO YOUNG!! That poor thing. I can only imagine how much pain both mentally and physically this has been for her. It is also extremely dehumanizing to have your private parts on display for all to see (family, nursing, doctors, wound specialists)
I don’t pray but I am sending positivity her way. I can’t imagine how hard this has been for her and your family. I’ve had my share of medical issues, but it is mostly caused from my stupidity from beating myself up breaking race horses for 15 years and breaking almost every bone in my body... including my skull. I was having a particularly bad night with all the nerve damage and this made me take a second to think about what this strong woman has gone through and continues to fight through.
There isn’t a heart emoji I can send ya... but there’s this

Re: My Mom's Aneurysm

Unfortunately, the risk of her dying from a heart blockage may have been too great a risk to wait for the blood thinners to wear off. Depending on what type she is on, it could take anywhere from 8 hours to 3+ days to clear her system. They might have thought she needed the surgery urgently.
Her wound looks good. The granulation is great. Have they discussed putting a wound vac on it??
