Looks to me like heat rash, very common in smaller children and nothing to worry about

Re: My Daughter's Rash

oh, it's her back, now i can see. it sort of looks like a heat rash to me too. if it disappears quickly you'll have your answer to that. just leave her lightly and LOOSELY covered. no powders and no ointments or creams! lay her on her tummy or side.

Re: My Daughter's Rash

Looks like what I get when I have an allergic reaction to certain detergents.
im not an expert but I agree. especially if its on clothed areas or areas of the body the baby sleeps on. good luck. skin rashes suck. poor baby.

Re: My Daughter's Rash

it does look alot like heat rash... depending on what insurance you have for her, i would suggest a second opinion, even if its just from another dr, or nurse practitioner in the office she goes to... if its warm enough in the house, sometimes the best thing for any rash, whether it be from allergies, heat, or whatever is to let it air out... no clothes if its warm, try bathing her in a very light smelling baby soap, getting her dry and letting her play in just a diaper... i have 3 kids that were all born at different seasons, and they have all had some kind of a rash... allergy rashes tend to itch and make babies irritable, rashes from roseola or scarlet fever are accompanied be fever (i've personally had scarlet fever twice and believe me, she would be miserable, but scarlet fever is an off branch of strep throat, so there would have been some kind of warning) keep her dry and comfy, and hopefully it will work itself out :)

Re: My Daughter's Rash

Did she have a fever before the rash came up? If so it maybe a common illness that alot of babies get, I forget what its called, begins with R, Rosella or something like that. If thats what it is then its harmless and bub will recover well.
Rosacea??

Re: My Daughter's Rash

How hot is it where you live? This looks like an allergy or heat rash.

Baby powder to keep them dry helps.
