Maybe you gave birth to a gummy bear
And now I'll never eat one again. Thanks.

Looks like a chunk of cheesy scrambled egg with a little ketchup mixed in?

Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk

Excellent post. Mono can make you hork up all sorts of delightful things - I had it back in HS and boy oh boy was that fun. I wish I'd thought to document some of the things that came out of my body at the time...though I don't recall if there was anything quite as captivating as your sinus-borne child there.

Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk

In the UK it's known as Glandular Fever. I've never known anyone who had it but I'm guessing it's probably 100 times worse in an adult than a 15 year old. I had a friend who got Chicken Pox at age 17 and she was in agony. I was "lucky" enough to have it when I was about 6.

I wonder why that is. I've always heard that it's best to get certain illnesses 'out of your system' as a child, but never really understood why.

Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk

Nice! I had mono, too. Horrible virus, takes forever to overcome. I was on antibiotics due to secondary throat and lung infections. I'd been walking around with it for months...
It was horrible! It was my birthday yesterday. Ironically, I was at the same restaurant and placed at the same exact booth I sat at on my birthday five years prior. That was the same time I first came down with mono symptoms.

Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk

Eeeww, that's epic! I've never had mono myself but one of my college mates did. He had to be hospitalized and put on drip as he couldn't eat or drink, or in fact swallow at all. He lost about six kilos/13 lbs in under two weeks. On top of that he was actually underweight already
Terrible! I remember how horrible the sore throat was.

Ew! I dislike eggs a lot already as it is... haha. One of the only ways I will eat scrambled eggs is with ketchup!

Haha, thank you! I'd say it has been a pretty successful first post. I take pictures of anything interesting that comes out of me, but I haven't really saved anything other than this. I also have a picture from when I sliced my finger open. Fingers bleed a lot!

Maybe I will start keeping more pictures, now that I have found the perfect place for them!
