Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk
Excellent post. Mono can make you hork up all sorts of delightful things - I had it back in HS and boy oh boy was that fun. I wish I'd thought to document some of the things that came out of my body at the time...though I don't recall if there was anything quite as captivating as your sinus-borne child there. |

Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk
In the UK it's known as Glandular Fever. I've never known anyone who had it but I'm guessing it's probably 100 times worse in an adult than a 15 year old. I had a friend who got Chicken Pox at age 17 and she was in agony. I was "lucky" enough to have it when I was about 6.

Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk
I wonder why that is. I've always heard that it's best to get certain illnesses 'out of your system' as a child, but never really understood why.

Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk
It was horrible! It was my birthday yesterday. Ironically, I was at the same restaurant and placed at the same exact booth I sat at on my birthday five years prior. That was the same time I first came down with mono symptoms.

Re: Mononucleosis Mucus Chunk
Haha, thank you! I'd say it has been a pretty successful first post. I take pictures of anything interesting that comes out of me, but I haven't really saved anything other than this. I also have a picture from when I sliced my finger open. Fingers bleed a lot! Maybe I will start keeping more pictures, now that I have found the perfect place for them! |
