Re: Mercury Exposure From Stepping on Broken Energy Saving Light Bulb
The Government are wanting us all to use these lightbulbs. Which are dull and shite. We went round all corner stores and branches of wilkinson and stocked up on normal 60watt lightbulbs. |

Re: Mercury Exposure From Stepping on Broken Energy Saving Light Bulb
In the US, they are now saying on the news that the government can't interfere in which lightbulbs we purchase. If we want to pay more for electricity, we're free to buy the old style bulb, which I've done all along anyway. Really, could you see being arrested and jailed and a murderer asking you, "What are you in for? Lightbulbs, eh?" |

I don't think mercury will BURN you like that, more like the person got cut really badly on the broken glass and the mercury leeched into the skin, in that case it's BAD NEWS! But I definitely don't think the gash was from mercury as it's not corrosive (as far as I know).
