The children who lived and are a few years old all seem pretty happy, at least in these pics. I cannot imagine having to make that decision. Even in cases like the harlequin babies (see the ones who have cracked skin) chances of survival have increased with modern medicine. The oldest known survivor of harlequin icthyosis is 24 years old but most do not make it long after birth. This girl seems to be living a happy and productive life as a college student despite her condition. ![]() Nusrit Shaheen |
