Actually, the string doesn't have to be really strong. Once it starts sliding fast across tissue with a little pressure the string starts eating into it fast, like a micro chain saw. I had my palm sliced bad once from little more than thread when I tried to grab it while it was being pulled fast. It sucked! Took forever to heal because every time I tried to open and close my hand the cut would crack open again.
