You act like this happens at every FOB on Fridays. I've been to A-stan, Iraq, Asia and South America and personally never saw someone shot in cold blood (civie, no weapon, no association) just for the hell of it. I'm talking 1 year tours with SF and State Dept also. The fact that you say this type of shit at every thread involving Americans or even the remote possibility of American involvement shows your ignorance. Every country has their bad apples, just look at the Japanese in China or the Congo Wars or the Russians in Chechnya, the list goes on. To judge a whole country on a couple of bad people/events is pure stupidity at its best.

I always likened the military to a metro city because it's huge with many people. Everyone won't get along. You'd never know everything that's going on in your highschool with 1300 kids let alone the military with millions, right? I've read enough to conclude incidents like this are not rare, and you know that. Pvt Levena L. Johnson-how bout her? You all ever catch the guy(s) that did it? And here you are in the military but I'm the dumb ass?  Oh and those countries you named off, every last one of them is an imperial power so they are no better or worse then the US in a sense but no one does it like America  |

Your right about no knowing every action of every soldier. These events are not rare but at the same time, they are far from common. I know you might try to argue this statement, so lets define common as compared to other countries at war, conventional or unconventional. As for your example of the raped pvt, I have no answer. I never raped a woman or treated them with disrespect, let alone stood by as one was happening. Also you seem to say imperialism is to blame, but the very definition of imperialism stretches from EVERY religion to Every country, only the degrees differ. By the way, I'm EX-military, current anti-narco out of Bogota.
