Your right about no knowing every action of every soldier. These events are not rare but at the same time, they are far from common. I know you might try to argue this statement, so lets define common as compared to other countries at war, conventional or unconventional. As for your example of the raped pvt, I have no answer. I never raped a woman or treated them with disrespect, let alone stood by as one was happening. Also you seem to say imperialism is to blame, but the very definition of imperialism stretches from EVERY religion to Every country, only the degrees differ.
