Happy to see your patriotism! As ex-SF that was on the ground in November of 01, I can assure you that there was NO WMD in A-stan, atleast in the upper east or west. The best thing I saw was a Northern Alliance Mi-24 that was beat to shit. Besides, now is the time to pull out of the country and let SF keep advising the ANA. They need to stand alone, and we need to recover.

As far as what happened, you really have to put it in perspective.
You've got thousands and thousands of US troops in Afghanistan serving their country and doing the right thing. You've got 12 out of those thousands that are scum of the earth. Somehow they slipped into the military. In a group of thousands, you're going to find scum, there's no two ways about it. If people want to make a big deal about, they have that choice, but to me, it really wasn't anything big. Now if their superiors truly covered it up, that IS something big. But there's no evidence that says they did. These 12 on this "kill team" and whoever else was involved, will suffer the consequences.

Theres a ton of undenyable evidence that it was attempted to cover this up, just like Abu Gharib, just like the gunship that killed unarmed reporters that only came to light because of Wikileaks.
IMHO I don't think this is the norm, but at the same time we really don't know because only the unsucessful cover-ups are what we see....... IMHO theres many more we never get to see.

I never said that I was keeping the boogiemen away! You make comments like "It seems the armed forces needs more strict background checks, psychopathic behaviour like this doesn't happen overnight". When infact it does. Personally I'm impartial to the Taliban.

Guess I should put Force Reconnaissance, it might not be Green Berets (SF), but its the Marine's version of SF. I served prior to all the MARSOC stuff thats running now. Went 3/23 SSP to 2/2 Recon, Was at Camp Rhino 1 week after 15th MEU landed. If anyone is ex-military and has been to Afghanistan, I was based out of OP Cobra with what was task force Viper. Well now you know me, I take it you served?
