Update : 3 days later police arrested two suspects. One of them (Lucas) confessed the crime while the other still denies involvement.

Both (Lindolfo and Lucas) were using drugs near a gas station when one of them came up with the idea to make some cash and steal a cell-phone easily.

Lindolfo told police he knew one of the girls as he lived near-by her but some time later he denies that and even denies knowing Lucas and involvement in the crime.

Lucas (38) told that Lindolfo (40) knew the route the girls took to work and they took a shorter path to surprise them. They popped up in front of them waving a knife and robbing them of their cell-phones and some cash, 37 reais ( $11,37).

Then they decided to rape the girls and dragged them into a thicket where Dolfino told them to undress and tied them up and told them not to run or else they would be killed.
He tried to rape her, but she was menstruating, "Lucas said in the confession video.

Then, according to Lucas, Lindolfo took the knive and stabbed them in their necks killing them.
Lucas wanted to sell the phones straight afterwards for more cash.

Police found 20 reais on Lucas and 17 reais on Lindolfo.
Lindolfo's rap sheet shows theft, theft of motorised vehicle and drunk driving afterwards, running a drugs sales point near that gas station near the crime scene.

They both can face up to 40 years in jail.
