Re: Positional Asphyxia in Opioid‐Related Deaths
I lost my 25 year old 2 years ago to a meth overdose. She was arrested for theft and then never checked at the jail because she was pregnant. She stuffed a bag inside her thinking she could retrieve it later. Within minutes of getting to the jail she started having issues. All they did was scream at her asking what she took..and then they just watched her die a horrible 2 hour death and never called 911. They called 911 after she was already dead. Maybe no doctor in the world could have saved her that night but she should have been rushed to the ER, not left to die on the jail floor. Her temp at autopsy 8 hours later was 107. |

Re: Positional Asphyxia in Opioid‐Related Deaths
ACTUALLY, please see my post below. My daughter had 6 lb twins on her 5 foot frame and it caused major back pain. Debilitating back pain. Doc gave her pain meds for a year and then just cut her off. She was left to turn to the street for pain meds. THIS so she could continue working her 2 jobs and caring for her 3 kids alone. She was far from dumb and useless. Be careful judging others like that. Thousands have stood on their stool looking down their nose like you and casting judgment and then it happens to you or someone you love and you're on here being made fun of.

Re: Positional Asphyxia in Opioid‐Related Deaths
The young woman in Figure 1 had two electrodes on her lower back for a TENS unit. She also had "egg crate" foam padding on her mattress. She must have had really severe back pain. She probably knew someone that could hook her up with “pain killers”. I bet she had no clue how strong that shit was and what it would do to her.

Yes, Very common for a dealer to add a little something extra to pain meds to cause someone to OD (fentanyl) and get them out of their hair.

Yes. My comment is hilarious. So laugh worthy. Hopefully someone close to you will show you first hand how overdosing and dying accidentally is easy. Did you actually say there is no such thing as addiction?? What rock have you been under?? |

Oh my God you are stupid. Here where I am, dealers have cleaned out problematic addicts with no money constantly hanging around and asking for handouts by giving them what it took to overdose. Open your eyes. |

Re: Positional Asphyxia in Opioid‐Related Deaths
I use Kratom for pain and used it to stop withdrawal from Oxycodone prescribed for pain. it has literally been a life changer I had very little to no symptoms stopping the pain meds I wish it was more commonly known that it can help with withdrawal symptoms.
