Re: Positional Asphyxia in Opioid‐Related Deaths
Definitely not. But perhaps it hasn't hit home for you. Your beliefs may change if your spouse, child, or best friend becomes an addict. Addiction doesn't discriminate in any shape or form. It can happen to anyone. And not every drug addict is a hopeless case or a piece of shit. Many are, but many are not.

Re: Positional Asphyxia in Opioid‐Related Deaths
All my friends are dead because of drugs. I found my buddy dead and blue. Pretty sure he did it on purpose. He was always saying that’s how he’d do it. Fuck drugs I’m over it. |

Certain drugs grab ahold of you and can kill you. Non drug users may not understand unless it snatches them up. Tobacco was my drug of choice (smokeless snuff) for 30 years. As a birthday gift to myself, I kicked the habit 2015. So I understand somewhat. |

No, it can only happen to crazy peoples who decided to put deadly chemicals into their bodies to get some pleasure. Addiction can starts from 1st event but not before. |

Not always. Not everyone who takes a pain pill or snorts a line of coke now and then becomes an addict. But if something makes you feel good and helps you temporarily forget your problems, most people become addicted to something because of that. It’s very much a psychological thing as well.

Re: Positional Asphyxia in Opioid‐Related Deaths
It can happen to women and men who have been raped, or abused as children, any deep emotional and psychological trauma. Consider yourself lucky that you are so privileged that you cannot possibly understand the intense trauma and devastation that can lead to someone being desperate to feel some sense of happiness, just for once in their lives. You come from a self-righteous position of clueless ignorance. I've never used drugs, but I've seen victims of child sexual abuse succumb to it. You truly have no idea what you're talking about.

Re: Positional Asphyxia in Opioid‐Related Deaths
Glad you got off of opiates with it. I'm careful not to assert anything just from reading a publication or simple hear-say. I too travelled that dark road with opiates. I mean dark. All under a team of Doctors' care... Imagine that. I found my way. With Kratom, I did say a lesser evil. That's only because I don't know of anyone who's stepped away from it... Only to go back to what they can get their hands on.. Of Those 2 alternatives, I do tend to agree with you... One is a cleaner trade off.. (just about the only thing that helped my Mothers cancer pain, her last several days in hospice was methadone). The other if used correctly-super easy to get off regular opiates... But super hard to get off of itself. What a brilliant concept
